Employee Recognition and Achievement Program

Enterprise Administrative & Business Services recognizes that the collective efforts of all employees contribute to the overall mission of the University, and that we should encourage opportunities for those efforts to be acknowledged. In order to attract and retain the best employees, we aim to create an environment where employees feel appreciated for their contributions.

EMPLOYEE

Award: Certificate and entry into Above and Beyond Award
Positively HOKIE Award
This award can be presented to any member of the division. It is intended to provide an on the spot expression of appreciation to recognize a colleague on a job well done and recognize their efforts.

Award: Engraved Hokie Stone & $1000
Above and Beyond Award
This award honors the importance of employee recognition. One awardee will be selected randomly from the list of all nominators and recipients of the Positively HOKIE Awards annually.
RECOGNITION

Award: Engraved Hokie Stone and $500
The Rising Star Award
This award recognizes someone that has been in the EABS division five (5) years or less whose accomplishments distinguish them as possible future leaders in their career field.

Award: Engraved Hokie Stone and $500
The Innovation Award
This award recognizes an employee or team within EABS for their exceptional contributions toward efficiency and effectiveness of operations, special efforts in promoting workforce excellence, or has had a transformational and visionary idea that has advanced the work of one or more units in a manner that may be considered ambitious by many.

Award: Recipients will have their photo and information displayed on website and social media
Employee Spotlight
Monthly, an employee will be highlighted from within the EABS division. The selected employee will have the opportunity to receive a professional headshot and a short list of get-to-know you type nuggets of information posted on our website and social media. This will allow members of each unit to be spotlighted and it will give us the ability to get to know our colleagues better.
